| Hi everyone! I've been a TT.net member for a while but have never formally introduced myself. I've been so busy with the car that I really haven't had time to post. It's a bit chilly out today, so no better time than now. My name's Brent and I live in Sheffield Lake, Ohio (20 miles west of Cleveland). I'm an automitive technican for a Honda dealership :-( Some of you may have met me at Z-Con 2009. Like many of you, I fell in love with the Z the first time I laid eyes upon it. I've always loved Z's in all forms, but the Twin Turbo stole my heart. After many years, I finally purchased my first Z just about a year ago to the day. Since that time I've put in countless of hours working toward rescuing a beaten down and battered beauty. My goal is to have the car finished for her unveiling at Z-Con 2010. As much fun as it was in 2009, I'm sure there will be no comparison to having my own Z to join in on the fun with. Big thanks to my brother-in-law James (member oOo Foo) for all of the time working on the car, researching stuff on TT.net, etc. We also recently joined Cleveland Z Club and it's been a lot of fun. Special thanks to Chris Karl for keeping us entertained at the last Z club meeting. On to the pics. ------------- Welcome to your new home.
Rear shot, first day home.

Amazingly, the interior is in GREAT condition.

LOTS of work ahead.

Leaky master cylinders make for lots of extra work.

Hanging out with the younger brothers. Humbly helping the others look better .... but not for long.

My amazingly dedicated brother-in law James (TT.net member oOoFoo).

Stripped down.

James taking his work seriously. Choose your weapon wisely.

Obviously the right weapon was selected.

Getting back to good.

True beauty now shining through.

Engine bay refinish complete.

Found some nice surprises after the paint was stripped off.

And the other side. No rust but lots of dents. Looks like it was in a demolition derby.

Making good progress.

And then, just after returning from Z-con, disaster strikes. A windstorm causes a significant setback. Terrible way to end the season.

Fast forward to March, 2010. Still too cold out for body work, but gotta get the engine going. Seemingly following the pattern, JDM engine contained some nasty surprises including clogged coolant passages and a bent rod in cylinder # 6.

Starting to warm up enough that we can get back to body work soon. Back at it with renewed confidence and vigor. Target : Z-con 2010.
Got the carport back up with added reinforcements and much better organization.
Shot from the rear.

The obligatory engine bay shot.

Some new goodies to start the seeason off right.

Nismo Radiator, UR Underdrive Pulley, B&B 3" Quad Oval Tip Exhaust, TSW 19" Wheels, Sumitomo HTR-Z III Tires, calipers cleaned up and painted.
